Why we use our own HIAB transport for container removal

Getting rid of a shipping container involves two jobs: lifting it and taking it away. We do both, so there is no separate lifting vehicle for you to find and pay for.

One booking, one team and one plan means there is nothing to coordinate on the day and nobody left waiting. Using our own HIAB lorries keeps it that way.

One company, one plan

Our HIAB lorries have a lifting arm mounted on the chassis, so the same vehicle that lifts your container onto its bed also carries it away. That means the lift and the transport are planned together, by the same team.

You deal with one point of contact from the first photos to the moment the container leaves your site. If you have a question about the lift, the route or the collection date, you ask us.

Trained people with the right equipment

Our team has the training and experience to lift, load and transport containers and cabins. Arriving with everything needed for the job means everyday problems on site can be dealt with there and then, rather than holding things up.

On the day, our team checks the standing area, sets the stabiliser legs on firm, level ground, keeps people clear of the lift and secures the load before it goes on the road.

Choosing the right vehicle

Our fleet includes rigid HIAB lorries, a wagon and drag HIAB and an articulated HIAB. When you send photos and measurements, we choose the vehicle that suits the size of the unit and the access to it. You can see more on our HIAB transport page.

  • Rigid HIAB lorries: our everyday vehicles for a single container or cabin
  • Wagon and drag: a lorry and trailer together, for more than one unit on a trip
  • Articulated HIAB: for longer units and larger loads, where there is room to turn

We also run low loaders, extendable trailers and articulated flatbeds, which helps when a job calls for something different.

Containers, cabins and more

The same approach works for shipping containers from 8ft up to 45ft, and for portable cabins, site offices, welfare units and steel anti-vandal units, including stacked and linked units. We take any quantity.

Across England, Scotland and Wales

Our lorries work well beyond our Manchester base. Our photo library shows them on the M1, M5, M6 and M74, and we collect containers and cabins across England, Scotland and Wales.

If you have a container or cabin that needs to go, ask us for a quote or read about our container removal across Great Britain.
