We may buy your container
Sell Your Shipping Container
If your used shipping container is in good enough condition, we may buy it from you and collect it on our own HIAB lorry. Send us photos and we will tell you where you stand.

Is your container worth selling?
Once they are finished with, many shipping containers can be sold on and used again by another person or business. If you want to sell your shipping container, send us photos and we will tell you whether we can buy it. Whether yours is one of them comes down mainly to condition. These are the things we look at:
- Wind and watertight, with no holes in the roof or walls
- Doors that open, close and seal properly
- A sound floor
- The general state of the steel and paintwork
- The size, and where the container is
If your container does not pass, it is not a wasted enquiry. We will tell you whether we can collect it free of charge or what disposal would cost.

Containers we look at
We look at containers in every size from 8ft up to 45ft, one at a time or several together. If you have a number of containers to sell, send photos of each one, as condition often varies between them.
Not sure whether to sell or simply have it taken away? Our guide to getting rid of a shipping container sets out the options.
Three possible answers
Every container and cabin is different. Once we have seen photos and know where it is, we will tell you which of these applies.
You pay for disposal
For units in poor condition, where the cost of lifting, transporting and disposing of them is more than they are worth. We quote a price before anything is booked.
Free removal
Where a container or cabin still has enough value to cover the cost of collecting it, we can take it away free of charge.
We buy it
Where the unit is in good enough condition, we may make you an offer and pay you for it, as well as collecting it.
Which one applies depends on condition, with size and location also playing a part. Send us photos and we will tell you.
Selling a shipping container: questions
Who buys used shipping containers near me?
We may. We are based in Manchester and collect across England, Scotland and Wales. If your container is in good enough condition, we can make you an offer and collect it on our own HIAB lorry.
What makes a container worth buying?
Mainly its condition: a container that is wind and watertight, with doors that open and seal and a sound floor, is more likely to be worth buying. Size and location also play a part.
What if my container is not worth buying?
Then we will tell you whether we can remove it free of charge or what it would cost to dispose of it. You decide whether to go ahead.
How will I be paid?
We confirm the payment arrangements with you at the point we make the offer, before anything is booked.
Do you buy portable cabins as well?
Send us photos of the cabin. The same three outcomes apply: you pay for disposal, removal is free or we make an offer.
Thinking of selling your container?
Send us photos of the outside, the doors, the inside and the floor, along with the postcode, and we will tell you whether we can make an offer.
